Meet the cosplayers who are working hard to make sure HYPER JAPAN Spring 2012’s cosplay events will be the best yet! 
Emily BastianHi! I’m Emily, I’m the cosplay team leader at HYPER JAPAN and a huge fan of Sailor Moon and Final Fantasy. I’ve been a cosplayer for ten years and a cosplay organiser for six. I’m also an organiser for the Grand Cosplay Ball and Asahi Anime Festival in Brighton. Can’t wait to see everyone’s creations at HYPER JAPAN Spring 2012! 
Adelaide FilippeHi, my name is Adelaide. I've been cosplaying for 7 years, as well as creating monsters, props and concepts for the entertainment industry. I’ve helped with judging and organization for the WCS and ECG contests in Paris, so it will be great to see what the UK comes up with for the World Cosplay Summit this year. 
Becca ChandlerMy name is Becca but I normally go by the name Keekal. I've been cosplaying for about 6 years and was on the cover of Cosplay Fever Red for my Twilight Princess Zelda Cosplay. My favourite Game is Zelda Majora's Mask and I really love being involved in such a vibrant and friendly community! I can't wait to see all the fantastic costumes at HYPER JAPAN. 
Jacob KimberI have been cosplaying now for five years, and attend many events in the UK and Europe. I really enjoy taking part in competitions and being an active part of a community that has really developed over the last few years. I have previously worked with Tecmo-Koei promoting the Dynasty Warriors series and I am very much looking forward to being a part of the HYPER JAPAN team! 
Keith ThomsonI've been cosplaying for seven years and helping out at events for three. In 2010 I threw my hat in the ring by organising my own event, the Cosplay Cruise. My favourite anime series is X/1999 and my favourite video game is Valkyria Chronicles. I tend to cosplay characters with large weapons, so I hope to see some impressive props and armour at HYPER JAPAN this year! 
Mary-Ann RussonHi, my name is Mary-Ann and I help run the HYPER JAPAN Cosplay HQ Facebook and Twitter pages. I'm a tech journalist and have been cosplaying for 8 years. I love writing, web design, photography and modeling. My favourite video game is LittleBigPlanet and I adore the Studio Ghibli films. Priscilla ChoHello! Priscilla here. I started cosplaying in 2005 and my favorite cosplays to date are Shino from .hack//Roots and Grace O'Connor from Macross Frontier. I've helped out behind the scenes a few years back and even judged at a small event. My other hobbies are photography, drawing and listening to music. My favourite video games are Persona 3, Final Fantasy XI and Ragnarok Online. |
