Third Window Films Showcase with Satoshi Miki and Eri Fuse

Third Window Films are the UK’s leading distributor of Far Eastern cinema, and they’re bringing some very special guests to HYPER JAPAN Spring 2012.

Director Satoshi Miki and actor Eri Fuse will be appearing on the HYPER JAPAN stage (Saturday 25, Sunday 26, 12.00 both days) to show showreel and clips from some of their movies and talk about their work in contemporary Japanese cinema. Their appearance marks the release of the Miki Satoshi Collection, which will be on sale at HYPER JAPAN.

Satoshi Miki

Satoshi Miki is an established Japanese writer and director, known for his characteristically peculiar and charming films, including ‘Adrift in Tokyo’, ‘The Insects Unlisted in the Encyclopedia, ‘In the Pool’, ‘Damejin’ and the TV shows ‘Jikou Keisatsu’ and ‘Atami no Sousakan’

Third Window Films will be releasing Adrift in Tokyo, written and directed by Satoshi Miki and starring Jo Odagiri, in February 2012.

Eri Fuse

Fuse Eri has been starring in films, television and theatre for many years now, including parts in all of Miki Satoshi’s films. She has also popped up in many other well-known Japanese films such as Takeshi Kitano’s ‘Boiling Point’ and ‘Achilles and the Tortoise’ plus other hits such as ‘Trick: The Movie’ and ‘Hana and Alice’.
