Announcing our Eat-Japan demonstrations for this summers HYPER JAPAN! Each of these culinary experts will be sharing their talent with our audience over the course of the event.

Sushi Reiko Hashimoto

A former flight attendant, Reiko flew around the world sampling foods of many countries, and moved to London via Hong Kong. Since then she has run the “Hashi” cooking school to teach local people how to cook Japanese food. In 2011 her first recipe book “Hashi, a Japanese Cookery Course” was published, and was elected as a finalist in the People’s Choice division of the British Cookery School Awards. She has had wide exposure through media such as the Guardian and BBC Radio. Introducing gorgeous sushi ideas for parties.
Curry As curry is popular in the UK as well as Japan, introducing simple recipes using curry roux.
Izakaya Scot Hallworth

After serving as head chef at Nobu London and Nobu Melbourne, Scott opened “Wabi”. Next came the pop-up Japanese Izakaya-style Tavern, “Kurobuta”, the success of which has led to a permanent restaurant opening this spring. Now expectations gather as he spearheads the growing popularity of Izakaya-style dining. Introduction to the snack food and culture of Izakaya-style tavern dining by the owner-chef.

Loretta studied under renowned chefs Alain Ducasse and Joel Robuchon, and currently presides over the classroom at “On Macarons”. The flavours of the classic French style have become popular, incorporating Yuzuya cherries and the essence of Japan. Treated as a representative for the topic by the Telegraph and others, her macaron classrooms have become popular, her macarons made with Japanese ingredients like wasabi and yuzu. Macarons using Japanese ingredients such as wasabi and yuzu.
