A compilation album by Hatsune Miku, ‘Vocalonexus feat. Hatsune Miku’, is now at the top of weekly album chart in the ranking of Oricon, Japan’s authoritative music information supplier. The album sold 31,000 in the first week of sale.

 
Innocent World Collaborates with TV Tokyo Anime

Japanese fashion brand Innocent World is collaborating with TV Tokyo for a brand new anime, GOSICK, which first aired on January 7 this year. The main character, Victoria, is being voiced by Aoi Yuuki, who was dressed by Innocent World at the anime press conference held in last December 2011.

Visual Works and XING just announced the best 10 anime songs to sing in Karaoke for teenager girls.

According to the ranking of JOYSOUND, a Karaoke system by Xing, the top was ‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ from a TV anime called ‘Neon Genesis EVANGELION’, although this anime is a bit out of date for today's teenagers.

Although Japan is most often associated with raw fish, it’s also a nation of committed meat lovers. Vegetarianism is still a rarity (although there is a tradition of vegetarian Buddhist cuisine), and dishes such as yakiniku (meat barbequed on a grill in the centre of the table), shabu shabu (thin slices of beef swirled around in a bubbling pot in the centre of the table) and yaki-tori (skewered and grilled chicken) are all strong national favourites.
