Sakura Rilakkuma | spring-themed Japanese sweets.
Spring has well and truly sprung with a definite change in the air and Sakura cherry blossoms blooming across the country.

To celebrate the new season, Bandai have brought back their Tabemasu (食べマス) series of edible mascots, starting with spring-themed Rilakkuma and Kiiroitori Japanese sweets.

These delicious and kawaii sweets feature Rilakkuma grabbing a pink Sakura blossom in both hands and a smaller blossom on Kiiroitori’s head.
If you can bring yourself to cut or bite into these almost-too-cute sweets, you will be rewarded with the signature springtime Sakura flavour of Kiiroitori and Rilakkuma’s flavourful black honey.

Perfect for afternoon snacks, hanami picnics or a light dessert, you can pick up a springtime Rilakkuma and Kiiroitori set at Lawson convenience stores all over Japan for just 395 yen (about £2.70) from Tuesday, March 26th.
If you’re in Japan and have a chance to try these Rilakkuma sweets, why not post it on your social media and tag us at #HYPERJAPAN
