As with all good things in life, even Christmas Market must come to an end. The Friday and Saturday sessions were certainly amazing and full of memorable moments, but Sunday had its fair share!
The Sushi Awards 2015 saw five sushi houses send their top talent to vie to take home the title of “Sushi of the Year”. “Tosho“, “The Spicy Crunch“, “Tuna ‘Toro’ Gunkan“, “Maki Sabroso“, and “Snow Drop“, these sushi shocked many visitors with their ingenuity and depth of flavour, and no doubt opened new areas for sushi fans to explore!
On the Live.Japan Stage, LadyBaby certainly had their cake and ate it too! A real cake, as one of the girls, Rei Kuromiya, just celebrated her birthday! There was a surprise birthday cake and singing for her by their UK fans and friends too!
All in all it’s been a wonderful few days with Japanese action aplenty, and for everybody should feel proud that they didn’t let the cold winter weather beat them! But we’re not done yet! The HYPER JAPAN Festival 2016 is but a few months away, and will be gracing the Olympia Grand from the 15th to the 17th of July next year! It will be a huge upscale from the last time HYPER JAPAN was in Olympia London. Tickets go on sale as early as late February, so keen beans can grab their tickets early and can relax in the knowledge that HYPER fun times will be back before long.
HYPER JAPAN Festival 2016
One last note, we’d love your feedback as always so please take a minute or two out to fill in our post-event surveys! Your suggestions can help shape the future of HYPER JAPAN and exactly which of Japan’s best cultural offerings we share with the UK.
The first survey link will take you to the pop questionnaire, which will help us find our guests for next year’s HYPER JAPAN Festival 2016. The second link is for a general questionnaire, about HYPER JAPAN in general.
