Spice Up Your Christmas Cards, Japan-Style

Japan has a long history of using beautiful paper, from thick, richly textured washi paper to the beatifully patterened sheets used for origami. This origami paper, called chiyogami, features brightly coloured, repeating patterns typicially featuring seasonal and nature-related motifs.

Stamps also enjoy a long history and important place in Japanese culture. From the hanko (family seals) used in lieu of signing important documents, to stamp booklets used to collect stamps from various train stations, cultural sites, and tourist attractions, stamps are everywhere.

In this session, you will combine these two things to make one-of-a-kind, uniquely Japanesque Christmas cards. Combine textures, colours and patterns, satisfy your creativity and express your individuality!
