Learn to make a Kimono Jacket to dress up as your favourite Japanese character!

REIKA is a very popular Japanese Cosplayer based in Tokyo. She has been invited to Cosplay events in over 50 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, the United States and South America and has been invited as a judge for several Cosplay competitions.

With over 600 self-made costumes, she is passionate about sharing her experiences with others about wig setting, Cosplay make-up and Costume dress-making and crafting at her own workshops. She holds a diploma in Fashion Designing from OSAKA MODE GAKUEN in Osaka, Japan.

In this workshop, REIKA will show you how to make a Kimono Jacket – Haori (羽織) – that anyone can make. For Kimono making, you do not need any pattern paper. REIKA will start the class from cutting a fabric together. If you have a sewing machine, you can finish your own jacket by the end of the class or you can hand sew it in your own time after the class. If you would rather want to watch how it is made, that is absolutely fine, too. Join REIKA to find out how to make a traditional Japanese costume!
