Garlic Konnyaku

This Japanese snack is so low calorie it’s totally guilt-free. Garlic is great for you, too.

Ingredients

Serves: 2

  • 280g konnyaku (1 standard block)
  • 1/2 tsp dashi powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground garlic
  • pinch of black pepper
  • chilli powder
  • vegetable oil

Steps

  1. Cut the konnyaku into bite size pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan, stir-fry the konnyaku and the garlic. Then add the dashi powder and pepper.
  3. When the konnyaku becomes slightly brown, add the chilli powder and remove from the heat.
