Mild and Mellow Chicken and Tomato Curry with S&B Golden Curry Mix

Smooth and creamy curry with a deliciously Japanese twist

Ingredients

Serves: 4

  • 300g chicken thigh
  • Salt, to season
  • Ground white pepper, to season
  • 1onion
  • 50ml plain natural yogurt
  • 400g (1can) whole plum tomatoes
  • 1tbsp salad oil
  • 1clove garlic, grated
  • 1tsp ginger, grated
  • 92g S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix
  • Garam masala, to taste (optional)
  • Freshly cooked rice, to serve

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces then season with salt and white pepper. Place the onion, yogurt, and tomatoes in a blender and blend to a smooth paste.
  2. Warm the salad oil, garlic, and ginger in a frying pan then add the chicken pieces and fry until the chicken has browned all over.
  3. Add the paste to the frying pan, then turn the heat down, place a lid on the pan, and leave to simmer gently for 20 minutes.
  4. Take the pan off the heat. Break the curry sauce mix into cubes and add to the pan, stirring well. Return the pan to a low heat and heat until the mixture thickens.
  5. Before serving, season with salt and white pepper, adding a little garam masala if desired, for added aroma and spice. Serve over freshly cooked rice.
