Quick Simmered Squid

The sauce complements the squid and the spring onion adds a little sharpness in this classis o-tsumami recipe.
Ingredients
Serves: 2
- 1 squid
- 1 chopped spring onion
- 240ml dashi
- 60ml soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp mirin
Steps
- Slice the squid into neat round pieces. Mix the sauce ingredients and boil.
- Add the squid to the pan and simmer for 5-6 minutes, then remove and drain.
- Serve garnished with the chopped spring onion.
