Sesame Sauce

This smooth and delicious sauce can be enjoyed as it is, but is even better with some crushed, toasted sesame seeds for some extra crunch. It makes a delicious addition to boiled vegetables and fried foods.


  • 3 tbsp white sesame paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2-3 tbsp dashi, chilled


Mix the soy sauce, vinegar and dashi together; add this to the sesame paste very slowly, drop by drop. Mix gently until smooth.


It can be kept up to three days if refrigerated. This is a cold sauce.
