Sushi For My Greedy Dad

Children’s Silver winner sushi by Yui Sumitomo (age 7), from the Original Sushi Competition 2003.

Ingredients

4 pieces

  • 60g sushi rice
  • 4 small slices of roast beef(approx. 18g each)
  • 4g grated horseradish
  • Some sauerkraut

Steps

    1. Take 15g of rice in your right hand and mould it gently into the shape of a ship’s hull. Repeat four times.
    2. Spread the horseradish, then the sauerkraut on top of the rice.
    3. Place the beef on top. Alternatively, you can put 2) on top of the beef.

 

Alternatively, you can use beef cooked as follows: Heat plenty of oil well in a frying pan and deep fry 200g of beef (enough for ten pieces) on a medium heat until it’s hard on the outside but rare inside, Slice thinly.
