Wakame Salad

An unusual mix of ocean and fruit flavours


Serves: 4

  • 2g dried wakame
  • 1 cucumber
  • 150g can mandarin slices
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • salt to taste
  • white sesame seeds to garnish


  1. Reconstitute the dried wakame in water, then drain. Wash and thinly slice the cucumber. Sprinkle the slices with salt to soften, then rinse in water and drain.
  2. Mix the wakame, cucumber and mandarin slices together.
  3. Mix the vinegar with the sugar and 1/3 tsp of salt. Pour over the salad and garnish with sesame seeds.
