Wakame Soup

Super quick and easy, and really good for you too!


Serves: 2

  • 10g dried wakame
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 8 mange tout
  • 300ml dashi
  • 2 tsp sake
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Soak the wakame in water to reconstitute and cut into bite size pieces. Trim the mange tout and put quickly in boiling water.
  2. Place the dashi and sake in a pan, bring to the boil, add the wakame and mange tout, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Just before removing the pan from the heat, pour in the beaten egg and stir.
