Iaido Workshop with Gyodokan

Iaido is a martial art that emphasizes the swift and precise drawing of the sword to respond to sudden threats or attacks. It involves a series of kata, or pre-arranged forms, that practitioners perform solo. These kata include drawing the sword, cutting down an imaginary opponent, and resheathing the sword. In Gyodokan’s lineage, we practice two schools, Muso Shinden Ryu and Shindo Munen ryu, with both placing great importance on the principles of correct posture, robust physical training, breathing, and mental focus. It seeks to develop not only physical skill but also mental discipline and awareness.
