What You Will Learn:
The session begins with a gentle introduction to the history and philosophy of the Japanese tea ceremony, a tradition rooted in harmony, respect and mindfulness. You will then observe a live tea ceremony demonstration, offering a rare opportunity to experience the refined movements, atmosphere and aesthetics of this centuries-old practice.
Following the demonstration, participants will prepare their own bowl of matcha and learn the fundamental techniques of whisking tea. The experience concludes with matcha served alongside traditional Japanese sweets, allowing you to enjoy the balanced pairing of bitter and sweet flavours.
Whether you are new to Japanese culture or simply curious about matcha, this workshop offers a welcoming and authentic introduction to the art of tea!
